The Dobříš Centre for Applied Research, one of the most advanced science and technology parks in Europe and a leader in the application of science and research results in practice, has been inaugurated. It is currently a trial operation which will run until the spring of 2016, when full operation will be started. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of both CAVD headed by MUDr. Lumír Žila and Doc. Eng. Milan Kymlička as well as many important guests.

In recent days, we have been working hard to supply equipment for the Science and Technology Park including modern laboratory equipment and cutting-edge measurement technology developed by experts from the University of Chemistry and Technology and the Czech Technical University. We are currently also completing the equipment of other laboratories and offices with modern technology and furniture.
The complex of the Science and Technology Park is also slowly transforming into its final form.
The CzechInno Association in cooperation with its partners has organised the first year of the Smart Business Festival today in the Prague Střešovice Depot. The main objective of the Smart Business Festival project is to offer a wide range of tools to potential, aspiring and established entrepreneurs which they can use to streamline their business using technological, social and economic innovations. Also among the speakers opening the Smart Business Festival was the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry who is in charge of managing the Section of EU funds, research, development and innovation and investment incentives, Tomáš Novotný, who commented on the entire event: ‘MIT, the Czech government and the European Union consider supporting the small and medium-sized enterprises and innovation a top priority.
